Refunds & claims
Two separate, deliberately distinct lists, since they’re financially opposite situations: money owed to you by vendors, a supplier refund still pending, and money you owe to buyers, an open and not-yet-paid buyer refund request. Neither list affects your books until it’s actually resolved.
On the vendor side, Refund received… records the amount actually received plus an optional note — the same mechanics as Inventory’s Seller refunded, reached from a pending claim instead of a specific lot. Give up on it writes off a claim you’re not going to keep chasing, so it stops sitting in the list as if it were still active.
On the buyer side, Mark paid… resolves an open request once the refund’s actually been sent. You enter the real amount paid, which might differ from what was originally requested, and that’s the number that counts against profit.
